Data Collection/AnalysisStudent Surveys: Each student was interveiwed by their teacher. This interview was in the from of survey questions. These questions focused on their interest and prior knowledge of science in their classroom. This interview was completed at the beginning and repeated at the end of the project. Teacher Reflections: Teachers collaborated daily to share their classroom experiences and reflections. They also used EVERNOTE to reflect on particular topics that arose from the projects and shared it with the Teacherss in Action TEAM at the Memorial Universtiy. Picture of science class: We asked students to draw a picture of a science class to determine if they were connecting science to their own experience or to an experience they have seen in movies or other media. After the inquiry unit students were given the same task to compare if there was a difference.
