Primary teachers at Woodland Elementary guided their students through the process of scientific inquiry to investigate the question “Can an Emperor Penguin survive the weather conditions in Dildo, NL?” Students were motivated to explore ideas and concepts in the curriculum related to weather and the needs and characteristics of living things. Teachers were actively engaged in the process of inquiry and reflected on the impact it had on their teaching practices.
